EP from the Highly Anticipated Album "TITANIUM".
ABOUT TITA LIMA:
From Sao Paulo, Brazil, Tita Lima is a singer song-writer from the new MPB (Brazilian Pop Music) movement that brings a tastful mixture of Samba-Jazz, Bossa-Nova, Reggae, progressive rock and soul music.
A favorite among DJs on the radio and in Clubs, Tita has been performing since age 14. Starting with the House of Blues, and then on to tours of Brazil, Europe and the US, as well as performing in festivals and international music fairs such as WOMEX and SXSW, her sensual voice and musical confidence have captivated audiences worldwide.
Her sweetly delivered Portuguese lyrics and fresh style make her a shoe-in crossover artist for years to come. Mentored on the piano by her grandmother, she later learned bass guitar from her father Liminha, a veteran member of the legendary Brazilian rock band Os Mutantes.
Throughout her career Tita has not only collaborated with artists such as Tom Zé, Thievery Corporation, Ocote Soul Sounds, Echocentrics and Ohmega Watts but also has also found herself in jam sessions with the likes of Steve Wonder, Etta James, Chaka Khan, Bernard Purdie (drummer of James Brown), Meshell N’Dedge O’Cello, Larry Granham, Charlie Hunter, Bill Withers, Al Green, Bootsy Collins and other personalities who had a big influence in her work.
Back to making music after a long hiatus since the releases of ‘11:11’ and ‘Possibilidades’, Tita Lima now returns with the announcement of a new album and 2017 concert tour.
‘Titanium’ reflects her transition from Brazil to the United States and is expected to drop later this fall. The first single “Sweet Sunday“ featuring Brazilian singer songwriter Peter Pedro is currently available on YouTube.
